We are currently looking to recruit 2 part time switchboard operators on permanent contracts. one for 20 hours per week and one working only weekends of 12 hours per week.
The successful candidates will join a small friendly front line team in a busy hospital switchboard. You will need excellent communication, interpersonal skills and be calm in a emergency situation.

- As the first point of contact within the telecommunications service at Weston General Hospital, operators are responsible for providing a efficient switchboard/information service 24/7 to all staff and customers at the trust.
- Carry out all aspects of the responsibilities of a operator in a pleasant, courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Operators will be required to use their own initiative efficiently and accurately when dealing with emergencies/life and death procedures and situations outside the parameters of these procedures

- Qualification in IT or proven use of IT packages

- Typing/Word Processing Qualification

- Previous Switchboard/Call Centre experience or Customer focused role
- Experience of working well within a Team Environment
- Experience of working under pressure and managing a demanding workload
