Clinical Fellow (ST3-9) in Urology

Senior Clinical Fellow

Job overview

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow (ST3-9) post in Urology. This post is available from March 2023 for 12 months.

This post is ideal for pre ST3 level candidates seeking to gain a broad urological experience to support a competitive ST3 application. We have a very strong history of our Clinical Fellows going on to obtain national training numbers after working as part of our team. In the last 5 years, 4 of our clinical fellows have obtained NTNs. Equally this post is ideal for urologists who are looking to broaden their experience to support a future CESR registration on the specialist registrar, which we are willing to support. Clinical work will be tailored to experience and training needs.

The post offers a minimum of 2 training operating sessions per week with one to one Consultant supervision, as well as supervised experience in outpatient clinics, urological procedures and emergency work. There are opportunities to develop audit and research projects, be involved in clinical trials and you will be assigned a named Educational Supervisor.

The post is for a full time contract and the successful candidate will be asked to take part in registrar-level Urology on call duties. Ideally candidates should have a minimum of six months experience in urology.

For more information about the post, please contact Mr Edward Jefferies, Clinical Lead at [email protected] and Mr Joel Corkill, current Clinical Fellow at [email protected]
