Sustainability Manager

Job overview

The Trust is committed to managing its sustainability performance proactively. The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist sustainability management services to the Trust. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and technical guidance, and developing the Trust’s policies and performance targets. The post holder will also be responsible for developing the Trust’s Sustainability Strategy, maintaining the Sustainable Development Management Plan, and delivering the associated Action Plan.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will coordinate the operational delivery of the Trust’s Sustainable Development Management Plan (SDMP), working closely with other team members and the Coach House to ensure activities are planned and coordinated in line with the Trust’s strategic direction. They will develop, deliver, and regularly review the sustainability initiatives that the Trust is delivering, ensuring that the activity is delivering the required carbon reduction and other benefits in line with Trust targets. They will also ensure that the Trust meets all its statutory environmental and sustainability responsibilities.
