Job overview
Ambulatory Chemo & Transplant Service (ACTS).offers treatment and support to adults, teenagers and young adults with a wide range of haematology conditions. We administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) and supporting therapies. We are in the early phases of an ambulatory Stem Cell Transplantation and chemotherapy programme. They will be expected for work during the hours of the service which currently runs Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
They will be designated to manage the delivery of the Ambulatory Chemo & Transplant Service (ACTS). The successful candidate will need experience in caring for haematology patients and be competent and have experience in cannulation and phlebotomy, the management of central lines and administration of blood products and SACT.

They will be designated to manage the delivery of the Ambulatory Chemo & Transplant Service (ACTS).
They will be supporting the Medical Nurse Practitioners and the wider team through the process of change, demonstrating tenacity, drive, professional integrity, balance and perspective.
They will participate in and contribute to innovation and take a proactive approach to service redesign or review where required, ensure these are linked to organisational priorities and support improved outcomes.
They will be expected to work cooperatively in partnership with others in planning, reviewing and developing the service

- Completion of SACT passport or equivalent competency
Desirable criteria
- Venepuncture and cannulation competency
Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum 3 years relevant clinical experience post registration
Desirable criteria
- Haematology/Oncology Inpatient/Day unit Experience
