Job overview

This is a brand new and exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff to join our wonderful paediatric  team in the Family and Specialist Services division here at Royal United Hospitals, Bath. The successful candidate will work in the Clinical Investigation Unit on the Children's Ward

Are you a nurse looking for Mon-Friday social working hours? Are you a paediatric nurse with previous children's clinical investigation experience? Are you a hardworking, passionate, supportive team player who is dedicated to delivering high standards of nursing care within a driven and enthusiastic team?  Are you competent in venepuncture or looking to expand your skills? Then we would love to hear from you.

Working day shifts currently on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and some Fridays

Main duties of the job

The RUH is a wonderful place to work, with plenty of outside space in which to enjoy a restful break, a dedicated staff restaurant, plentiful on-site parking, a staff swimming pool and much opportunity and support for continuing professional development. In order to be considered for this role, you need to hold a valid U.K NMC registration.

  • Registered Nurse with Nursing & Midwifery Council

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Up to date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a newly qualified nurse
  • Understanding of equality & diversity and how to apply it to self and others.
  • Understanding of NMC Code of Practice and requirements of it for own practice & behaviour
  • Able to demonstrate effective consolidation of nursing
  • Knowledge & practice after qualification & preceptorship
