Job overview

Specialty Doctor – Dermatology

This is a permanent contract which offers training in dermatology. The successful applicant will join a highly efficient and supportive team and gain and experience in all aspects of dermatology.

This post would be suitable for a candidate wanting to pursue training via the CESR route, apply for Dermatology NTN number or go down the Associate Specialist route.

Applicants who are less than full time or looking for a fixed-term contract are also welcome to apply.

 

 

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will carry out regular clinics, skin surgery and co-ordinate emergency care, under the supervision of a consultant. You will have an Educational Supervisor and be supported in building your CV and competencies in dermatology.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Additional related qualifications, e.g. intercalated degree, BSc, BA, BMedSci or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Applicants who are Nationals from another European country or elsewhere overseas would have to show equivalence to the 5 years training period in the National Health Service required for the specialty. Training and expertise in children’s safeguarding
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of relevant academic and research achievements, and involvement in a formal research project
