Job overview

The Pharmacy Department at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to support quality management and assurance functions within the department.

The  department handles a high volume of unlicensed medicines, has an Aseptic unit and operates a wholesale dealers license.

An interest in working in a hospital pharmacy quality assurance role specifically within Aseptics would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

To carry out a range of technical duties within the pharmacy.

Monitor Aseptic facilities, receive unlicensed products and approve for use 

Perform environmental monitoring of aseptic facilities and analyse environmental and physical monitoring results against agreed standards and raise initial reports where these are ‘out of specification’
