An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Organisational Development and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team (OD/EDI) on a fixed term /secondment basis of 12 months.
We are a small team, delivering the Trust's OD and EDI agendas, national mandatory returns and work plans, including building on our inclusive culture by working closely with our Staff Network Groups and updating our related policies, strategies and work plans.
Applications are invited from individuals with previous Human Resources or EDI experience. If you wish to undertake the role on a secondment basis, your application should provide confirmation that your current line manager has given agreement in principle to releasing you for the 12 month period.
Main duties of the job
You will provide a customer-focused, high-quality approach to the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda as well as the Organisation Development agenda.
You will work in collaboration with the wider People Services Team, working in partnership with line management and trade union colleagues to provide a comprehensive and developmental service to support the organisations business objectives.
The main duties will be the design and delivery of staff development courses, through action plans from the NHS EDI Improvement Plan, WRES, WDES, Gender Pay Gap report, and Equality Delivery System (EDS) mandatory requirements. You will also provide support to the Trust's Staff Network Groups . You will be the project lead for implementation of the national staff survey.
You will implement the HR and EDI Strategy action plans, with regular monitoring and reports to People and Culture Committee.

Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
- CIPD qualified, level 5 or equivalent experience
- Specialist knowledge of HR topics and evidence of on-going Continuous Professional Development (CPD) or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
Desirable criteria
- Level 7 CIPD qualified
- Post graduate level of study
- Coaching qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- General experience in the understanding and application of learning theories, models, and practices
- Experience of completing WRES, WDES, PSED, EDS, Gender Pay Gap report and all mandatory EDI returns
- Undertaking research to inform the design, delivery, and effectiveness of interventions
- Experience of planning and delivering learning and development training in both a face to face and virtual environment
- Experience of engaging with colleagues and stakeholders through a variety of methods to discuss business requirements
- Experience sufficient to provide advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of the role without day-to-day supervision or direction
- Experience of coordinating multiple workplace activities (such as OD events and design of interventions)
- Experience of working successfully in a busy organisation
- Experience of devising ad hoc interventions to support workforce challenges

- Experience of policy review and development
- Experience of devising & delivering training to managers on range of ER topics
- Working at a corporate level across multiple Trust areas whilst working on more than one project at a time
- Has experience of the full training cycle

- Knowledge of but not limited to all EDI related mandatory returns

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
