Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Triage Administrator to join the South West Interdisciplinary Team in the provision of Immediate and Planned Care to patients in the community. The multidisciplinary teams provide nursing and therapy services offering an alternative to hospital admission, supporting timely discharge and enabling people to realise their potential and functional independence. Your role will include dealing with referrals to the nursing and therapy team, general administration work & supporting the Team Leaders.

Main duties of the job
- To deliver call handling and support to the triage function of the community nursing and therapy team.
- To support the administration functions of the community nursing and therapy team.
- To work independently under the leadership of the team leads, therapists and registered nurses, working within Trust policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- To communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion, and to manage relationships with people, making reasonable adjustments where necessary.

Essential criteria
- GCSE's grade A-C in English Language and Maths
- NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
- Level 3 RSA/OCR typewriting qualification or equivalent experience
Experience

- Experience of working within a busy office environment.
- Experience of dealing with the public face to face and on the phone.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Competent in the use of Microsoft products including Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, Powerpoint with advanced skills in the use of spreadsheet and database packages.
- Able to work without daily supervision.
- Able to organise own work and use own initiative.
- Sound knowledge of general administrative procedures.
- Good time management.
- Ability to effectively use Internet and Databases for information searching and retrieval.
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
