Job overview
Work within Patient Services and/or Administration supporting Hospital Services including Out-Patients.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic addition to the Patient Services team to assist in the efficient and accurate processing of WPAS information and hospital appointment booking.
You will be required to process referrals from receipt through to appointment booking using the partial booking WPAS function and adhering to waiting list guidelines and Health Records procedures. You will be patient focused with good communication and telephone skills able to work under own initiative as well as within a small team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of basic education
- Computer literate and experience of using Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
- RSA or NVQ 2 in IT skills or relevant work experience
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in administrative clerical duties
- Ability to speak Welsh

Essential criteria
- Ability to deal face to face with members of the public, patients and clinicians
- Good telephone manner
- Ability to use initiative to defuse difficult situation involving patients
- Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
