Job overview
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Estates project management professional to join our Capital Team. The Estates Project Manager will work within a multi-disciplinary team where you will lead on a number of capital major and minor works to deliver a compliant high quality, safe, efficient and value for money capital programme. Working across various sites throughout Powys, the type of projects include hospital/ ward refurbishments, external and compliance works. You will be suitably qualified and have a proven track record along with demonstrable experience in building / construction / Capital project related management.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in an Estates/Construction related discipline.
- Knowledge of the relationship of building design and building services, staff management and project management to post graduate Diploma level equivalency.
- Knowledge of building regulations. Delivery of project management duties on complex projects.
- Knowledge of commissioning and decommissioning procedures.
- Knowledge of tendering processes and JCT/NEC forms of contract.
- P405 Asbestos Manager or AE (E)
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of CPD.
- Member of a professional institution.
- Knowledge of the Healthcare environment
- Working knowledge of EstateCode and AEDET.
- Project Management qualification.
- ILM P405 Asbestos Manager or AE (E)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant practical experience in estates/construction industry project management role.
- Proven track record of Project Management function on schemes of relevant scale
- Ability to interpret design drawings
- Organisational skills, with attention to detail and able to prioritise workload.
- Computer literacy especially Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within a healthcare organisation.
- Experience of working in a large project environment.
- Understanding building design and practice.
- Working knowledge of building standards
