An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team to undertake the role of Senior Administrator within the Immunisation and Vaccination team working across the vaccination centres. The post holder will operate in a fast-paced environment that is often unpredictable and will require excellent communication skills.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of administrative staff providing leadership, support and advice in the booking hub and support the Senior Business support Managers and other senior staff within the immunisation and vaccination service.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for providing and co-ordinating a comprehensive, confidential and high quality administrative service for the Immunisation and Vaccination Team. Work on own initiative, develop own administrative systems, manage, and prioritise own workload seeking advice and escalating issues when required.
Engage with staff at all levels of seniority and will be a part of a multidisciplinary team and therefore will need to demonstrate effective influencing and persuading behaviours to ensure that deadlines are met. The post holder has an important role in contributing towards the Health Board achieving its targets for immunisation and vaccination, including targets for implementing the National Immunisation Framework within Powys.
Manage sickness absence, flexible working, and annual leave requests for all staff, with responsibility for liaising with Occupational Health and Human Resources and taking any action required in line with PTHB policies and procedures.
Create and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels, internal and external, NHS and non-NHS organisations across the whole health economy, locally and nationally.
Assist with handling and resolving complaints in relation to the department and undertake appropriate action following each investigation.
Act as a point of contact for Immunisation and Vaccination system to ensure enquiries and any problems that arise are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

Essential criteria
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of experience
- Advanced Keyboard Skills (e.g. RSA level III)

- Experience of relevant practical administrative work, including arranging meetings, handling telephone enquiries, and establishing and maintaining administrative systems
- Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records
- Ability to produce reports, spreadsheets and correspondence

- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
