We are looking for a a dedicated individual to join our Salisbury Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) as a Support Worker. The Salisbury CAMHS service works with young people up to 18 years old who experience a range difficulties associated their mental health. This role is varied with 4 days supporting our Crisis and Home Treatment Service (CAHTS) and 1 day in The Eating Disorder Service (TEDS).

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic support worker who is passionate about working with Children and Young people and who would like to develop their skills in delivering evidence based interventions. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a range of practitioners. Clinical supervision is provided along with opportunities for training and continued professional development.

We are looking for someone who wishes to develop their skills in a  mental health service. You are likely to have experience of working with people with mental health problems. You will have a supportive team around you and a clinical supervisor to work with as well as training and development opportunities to develop your skills and experience.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Supporting young people and their families experiencing a wide range of mental health issues.
  • Delivering evidence based interventions in clinic and in the community.
  • Working  alongside a range of practitioners.
  • Working within the CAHTS model providing evidenced based. interventions for a wide variety of presentations to support young people and their families and carers within a community setting.
  • Linking into inpatient settings to help young people transition back to the community.
  • Working alongside a wide variety of professionals.
  • Working with a wide network of people involved in the care and treatment of the young person.
  • Travelling to see people in the setting that is best for them.
  • Providing meal supports for people who are struggling at meal times.
  • Working flexibly with extended hours and some weekend working
  • Feeding back any concerns or issues related to the safety of the people you are working with.
