An exciting opportunity to work in the  Radiotherapy  Centre

We are looking for a , caring and highly motivated Radiotherapy  Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming radiotherapy team at the Oxford Cancer Centre. 

You will be part of a  team committed to providing a high-quality, caring and compassionate service for patients, their relatives and friends. You will make a positive contribution to a patient’s care experience.  

Good communication, interpersonal and team working skills are essential as well as being compassionate and adaptable.

As well as providing an efficient, calm and courteous service on Reception you will support the therapy Radiographer team. You should be flexible in your approach to work, be able to act on your own initiative. Good computer skills are required.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide a courteous reception service
  • Liaise with transport providers booking and amending transport as required
  • Liaise with the Radiographers regarding patient treatment and care
  • Maintain stock and re-order when required
  • Assist with patient booking system
  • Maintain tidiness in all the waiting areas ensuring the department looks welcoming and friendly for patients

  • Education to secondary level with GCSE English and maths or equivalent
  • Experience in dealing with members of the public
  • Basic Typing Skills
  • Good Interpersonal skills & Communication skills

  • NVQ3 in diagnostic and therapy care
