Job overview

You will work with the Team Managers to ensure the successful and effective day to day management of the Service providing a responsive, high-quality service to  patients with common mental health problems.

As a Deputy Team Manager, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting the team and ensuring effective service delivery. You will be responsible for managing both clinical and non-clinical staff across the service, providing guidance, support and mentorship to staff members.

This includes conducting performance reviews, facilitating 
professional development, and ensuring that staff adhere to organisational policies and procedures.

The Deputy Team Managers assist with the operational aspects of the service, such as scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management to ensure that the team meets its objectives efficiently and effectively.

Main duties of the job

To oversee recruitment and make significant contribution to the development of new roles and local policies and procedures.
Management of staff across the service, working collaboratively with their clinical supervisor and the senior management team to ensure that staff meet the requirements of their role. This will include line management, utilising HR policies and procedures as required and supporting professional development.

You will work closely with team members and engage with external agencies, Oxford Health services and other organisations to ensure a collaborative approach to provide mental health support to patients.
You will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the service, implementing improvement where necessary to enhance patient outcomes
