Are you a newly qualified physiotherapist or current Band 5 looking for an opportunity to provide innovative community-based children's therapy?
Do you enjoy making a difference to children’s and their families' lives?
Children's Integrated Therapy Physiotherapy Service have a vacancy for a passionate, motivated Physiotherapist either with experience at Band 5 or newly qualified, to join our team. We seek to provide a high-quality service to children and families in their home, clinics, nurseries and schools. Our service operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
You will need to demonstrate flexibility and initiative, to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will need to be able to manage your time effectively and will be required to support other clinicians and manage a designated caseload.
We will give you the support and supervision in order to continue to develop your Physiotherapy skills with children and young people. We encourage continuous professional development through both internal and external training. We are a caring, friendly team, committed to your wellbeing and maintaining a positive work-life balance.

You will provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention to children aged 0-19 who have developmental delay or a disability.
You will work in community settings (clinics, homes and schools) as an autonomous practitioner, carrying your own caseload and prioritising your work load with support from your supervisor.
You will work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team including Education, Social and Health care, and to support safeguarding and the EHCP process and delivery of recommended provision.
You will support the team with supervision of physiotherapy students.

You need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of working in a community setting, the complexities of working within a family and a multidisciplinary multiagency environment, familiarity with children’s equipment and assessment tools and interventions used by Physiotherapists in Children’s Community Services will be useful.
This is a permanent full time post however part time and job share requests are welcome. This is a county wide service and consideration will be made of preferred locality, though flexibility may be needed to support other areas of the county if needed.
Please note:
- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
- Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
- Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
