In our BSW (Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire) Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services we are proud to be developing a needs led, responsive and accessible service based on the i-Thrive model.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist who would be interested in this role as the senior clinician for the Crisis and Home Treatment Service (CAHTS) in Marlborough.

You will be located in the well established and compassionate Marlborough CAMHS team , this is a multi-disciplinary team and we pride ourselves on the service we provide you young people and their families, staff wellbeing and development opportunities.

We have had great feedback from staff about our model of having CAHTS staff embedded in the local CAMHS teams, such that they feel part of the team and work closely together.

In this role, you would be the lead for CAHTS staff in this CAMHS base and working closely with the BSW wide CAHTS clinical leadership team to support our staff and to offer a brilliant service to children and young people.

We're looking for you to help develop our evidence based clinical pathways and offer consultation and supervision to CAHTS staff.

We'll offer you training in Positive Behaviour Support, AMBIT, Motivational Interviewing and DBT informed Coping Skills. There will also be the opportunity for further training based around individual learning needs. We have good professional support in our service and regular professional regional meetings.

There is scope for you to build into this role, if desired, options of clinical sessions working in: our CAMHS eating disorder service; our neurodevelopmental assessment clinic; our family therapy clinic; our DBT service; our short term therapeutic interventions pathway; or our longer term MDT interventions pathway.

  • Mental Health professional qualification to degree level or equivalent

  • Post graduate qualification relevant to specialism
  • Experience of offering qualified staff supervision
  • Knowledge of DBT and Leadership/management qualification/training

Knowledge

  • Considerable post qualifying experience in mental health
  • Able to manage a caseload of children and young people with complex conditions & cases
  • Experience of working with service users with mental health difficulties

  • Experience of being a Care coordinator or managing a case load
  • Experience of working with children and/or young people with mental health difficulties
