We are currently looking to recruit a number of motivated individuals, who would like to make a difference to the patient experience by joining the Horton in-house housekeeping team here at Banbury.
If you have cleaning experience and enjoy working within a team why not consider becoming a Housekeeper.
Our team are responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital, sometimes working on your own but often working as part of a team to provide a clean and safe environment for patents, staff and visitors.
Along with the cleaning tasks, Housekeepers also support the nursing team with the delivery of patient food and beverages.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleaning in line with the National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.
To work as an integral part of the team ensuring a high-quality service to patient.
To support ward staff in the delivery of protected patient mealtimes.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills

- Basic food hygiene qualification
- NVQ or equivalent in cleaning and support services

- Previous experience of working in a housekeeping /domestic role
- Previous experience of working within a healthcare environment

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
