We have adopted a centralised hiring process for administration roles in bands 2-3 and 4-5. This means you apply once and are considered for multiple positions within our organisation, saving time for both candidates and managers while accessing a broader talent pool.
The three roles we are recruiting to this week include:
Patient Pathway Administrator - 37.5 hours per week
- Patient administration is essential for supporting clinical teams in delivering high-quality care and improving the patient experience. Efficient administration ensures excellent data quality and optimal use of resources.
Administrator Infected Blood Psychological Support Service -19.5 hours per week
- The post holder is responsible for providing professional, thorough, and efficient administrative service to all patients and department members. This includes delivering comprehensive administrative support to both the Psychology specialty team and a Navigator/Social Worker.
- This role will coordinate and be responsible for the provision of full secretarial and administrative services to the clinical team
Preoperative Assessment Senior Administrator- 37.5 hours per week
- The post holder will provide a professional, comprehensive, and efficient administrative service to all patients and Department members by supporting a specialty team.
- This includes full administrative support to the consultant team and managing the entire patient pathway
Main duties of the job
Patient Pathway Administrator:
- Is responsible for providing a professional and efficient administrative service to all patients and department members. This includes delivering comprehensive support to a specialty team, managing the full patient pathway according to the Elective Access policy, and serving the consultant team.
Administrator Infected Blood Psychological Support Service
- You will manage lists and clinics, ensuring that all patients are seen within the required time scales and in accordance with NHS England targets and Trust policies.
- Undertake collection and reporting of key performance indicators of the service, ensuring that it meets the targets set out by NHS England.
Preoperative Assessment Senior Administrator
- Supports the patient journey and clinical teams, improving patient care and experience.
- Provides efficient administration ensuring high data quality and optimises capacity and resources management

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
What we are looking for:
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proven organisational skills
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in managing patient records and administrative tasks.
- Empathy and Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and provide exceptional patient care.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare or administrative role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to cope effectively under pressure
- Qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C
- Systems Experience: Understanding of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel packages
