Are you looking to make a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and vulnerable adults?

As the In-Patient Liaison Lead, you will play a crucial role across Buckinghamshire, managing cases of young people with the most complex needs and ensuring they receive the multi-agency support they require. You will also oversee out-of-area inpatients, providing vital oversight and care.

This role is part of the crisis team within OSCA (Outreach Service for Children and Adolescents), a specialised component of our integrated service model within the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). You will collaborate with various specialised teams from across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide expert clinical care, including skilled assessment, treatment, and consultation within CAMHS, and manage a caseload of crisis patients.
  • Develop and review risk management plans, offering specialist advice and support to other professionals and contributing to young people's assessment and treatment.
  • Support and inspire colleagues, set and improve standards, and provide expert advice and guidance across the organisation and beyond.
  • Contribute to the education, training, and development of clinical staff and partner agencies, helping to integrate theory and practice.
  • Work at the forefront of practice innovation, generating and evaluating practice protocols, and participating in national professional networks.
