Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team to ensure we are delivering outstanding services to the children and young people of the Buckinghamshire CAMHS .

To manage and co-ordinate the secretarial and administrative support to the community team.

To develop and facilitate the local performance framework ensuring timely and accurate data collection and submission.

To support the Operational Leads and Service Managers in the routine management of staff sickness, annual leave, training and performance management.

Main duties of the job

You will work alongside the Operational Lead for the Getting More Help Service to support with all aspects of service delivery and operational matters for Buckinghamshire CAMHS .  We are working towards a culture where services from across the whole system (including health, education and social care) come together and work together to deliver positive and seamless experiences of care to children, young people and families.

In this hugely important team role, you’ll manage and supervise a diverse group of staff from a range of professional backgrounds, provide great leadership with enthusiasm for service transformation and determination to provide outstanding quality of care, ensuring that children and young people are kept at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be responsible for the overall performance and service delivery of the team , having robust oversight of waiting lists and working with key colleagues to ensure continuity of service.

You will have the opportunity to make an active and meaningful contribution to our exciting service modernisation and redesign that is based on the Thrive model, ensuring children and young people get the right support, at the right time, in the right place, from individuals with the right skills. You will also build and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies supporting the development of integrated care pathways and locality working.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • With great communication and organisation skills, and a flexible ‘can-do’ approach, you will work as an integral member of the leadership team of the Eating Disorder Pathway across Buckinghamshire .
  • New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
  • Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
  • Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
  • Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Educated to at least Degree Level or equivalent with evidence of numerical skills.
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.
Desirable criteria
  • Business Administration or Management qualifications.
  • Experience of Performance monitoring / performance management.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • IT literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
Desirable criteria
  • RSA Typing Qualification/ECDL Knowledge of NHS national data sets. Knowledge of NHS performance agenda.
