Job overview
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Registered Nurses to work within our Stroke Unit at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are a dedicated MDT on a 35 bedded stroke unit, consisting of 6 hyper acute level 2 acuity beds and 29 recovery beds. We admit patients directly from the emergency department, performing thrombolysis treatment where appropriate, and arranging for patients to be sent for mechanical thrombectomy when needed. All patients then go on to receive rehabilitation on the ward and also where appropriate care in the community provided by the Early Supported Discharge team.
We are proud to have achieved an A rated service since August 2016 according to SSNAP. We are one of the top 10 Trusts in the country, and best in the East Midlands.
