Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist

Band 5 Development Post (Will consider experienced B6)

Job overview

The Children and Young Persons Specialist Services are patient and family focused services who work to support children, young people and their families to reach their potential in education and social life.  Our team works within the context of the wider Trust which covers all aspects of community healthcare. We value our staff and are committed to their own professional development and health and well being.

The team are looking to recruit a Paediatric Physiotherapist (Band 5-6 development role) who would work at a Children's Development Centre, within the community, special and mainstream schools.

The team consists of 30 physiotherapists (full and part time) across Nottinghamshire and a team of support staff. As part of the Team around the Child, we work closely with our OT and Education colleagues, speech and language therapists and nursing.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5-6 Paediatric Physiotherapist based in Nottinghamshire. We are looking to recruit to the development post (B5-6) or an experienced Paediatric therapist (band 6).

The successful post holder will see children and young people age 0-19 years with a wide variety of neurological conditions and those requiring long term functional rehabilitation in the centre, the child's home and schools.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Working for our organisation

We are one of the largest mental health and community Trusts in the East Midlands and one of Nottinghamshire's biggest employers. We also host national and regional services, such as the National High Secure Deaf Service and the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health.

We offer a variety of employee-led staff networks, including Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) groups, the Green Champions network, the Freedom to Speak Up network, the Health and Wellbeing Champions network, and the Menopause Champions network. These networks play a vital role in supporting our diverse workforce and promoting a culture of inclusivity.

The health and wellbeing of our colleagues is a top priority. We invest significantly in this through our in-house occupational health and staff counselling services, supported by a dedicated Health and Wellbeing team.
