The Trust’s Training Department delivers a range of activities and programs across five key themes: Essential Training, Skills for Work & Life, Therapeutic Skills, Recovery Education, and Leadership & Management Development. The department operates across two sites – Duncan Macmillan House, Mapperley, and The Mike Harris Centre, Rampton Hospital.

This role requires a high level of administrative and coordination skills, proficiency in IT and audio visual (AV) equipment, and excellent customer service abilities. The post-holder will play a key role in supporting essential training and induction programs and will share responsibility for managing the department's shared mailboxes. While the role is primarily based at Duncan Macmillan House, occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the People and Culture Training Department.

Assist the Training Support Manager in coordinating essential training and induction programs, ensuring smooth delivery and record-keeping.

Manage training records, arrange room bookings, and set up multimedia and equipment for training sessions.

Handle general administrative tasks, including correspondence, telephone inquiries, and visitor management.

Organize and attend meetings, prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and ensure effective follow-up actions.

Work closely with directorate colleagues to commission and support internal and external training initiatives.

Ensure adherence to Trust policies, financial procedures, and health and safety regulations.

Support departmental projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of training services.

Attend team meetings, managerial supervision, and annual performance reviews.

Qualifications - Academic / Craft / Professional

  • Educated to NVQ Level 4 or BTEC standard or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • BTEC in administration or equivalent experience
  • To undertake essential training as per trust requirements

Experience

  • Knowledge and experience of administrative and financial policies and procedures
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and Publisher
  • Significant experience in a recent similar role
  • Previous experience of day-to-day management of staff
