Ward Receptionist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist position on F20. F20is a busy  Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward. We accept patients from  ED, FADU, Theatres and from other wards within NUH. We also transfer patients from out of area that need complex orthopaedic surgery.

We are an extremely busy area, with high numbers of admissions and discharges and ward pressures.

You will have good organisational skills and an excellent telephone manner. You must be able to manage your work load and prioritise effectively as well as having good communication skills and will be professional at all times. You must be committed to a high standard of patient care and safety.

As the first member of staff that many patients will encounter on F20, we are looking for someone welcoming, enthusiastic, hard working and organised to join our team.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

Being situated at the front door means a very varied role day to day!  You will be ensuring patients are admitted, transferred and discharged on Careflow in a timely manner, answering telephone calls, directing patients and relatives appropriately, filing and completing general administrative duties.  Making follow up appointments and referrals as necessary.

You must have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
