Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist - SEM

NHS AfC: Band 8a

Trosolwg o'r swydd

12 month secondment or fixed term opportunity - 18.75 hours per week

The successful applicant will work within the Physiotherapy departments at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and will be integral to the Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) consultant team. They will provide expert specialist rehabilitation for those patients on the SEM pathway and support the training and mentorship of rotational staff within the physiotherapy team. Many patients who are referred by SEM consultants have had physiotherapy before; hence complex clinical decision-making and optimal treatment delivery is required to reach satisfactory outcomes in this patient cohort. A number of out of area referrals are also seen and this role will also support and build regional networks to enhance treatment closer to home for patients. Clinical delivery will take place across a number of NUH sites to include Queens, City campuses and the National Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM, Loughborough). The job plan will consist of: clinics alongside the SEM consultants (for one stop shop advice and treatment), physiotherapy-led clinics for rehabilitation and a number of sessions to support service improvement, project work, education and research.
