An exciting opportunity exists for an Orthotist, with post-graduate experience, to join the in-house Orthotics department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This position is a full-time, 9 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. It is primarily a clinical role treating both inpatients and outpatients in a variety of clinics.

Working for our organisation
Nottingham University Hospitals is a regional Trauma and Spinal centre; it is one of the UK’s largest teaching hospitals.
The Orthotics department aims to provide the most efficient and effective care to patients, to set new standards in orthotic treatment and to constantly improve to meet the demands of our users. The department has a strong focus on staff well-being, with regular supervision, access to educational courses and time out for well-being sessions.
The successful candidate will form part of a team of 10 Orthotists, 2 assistants, 6 technicians and 6 administrators. There is an on-site workshop with CAD-CAM scanner and milling machine. The clinicians have access to a Rodin and I-pad scanner. It is an innovative team who work closely with orthotic companies and the wider Trust to develop new ways of effectively treating patients. The majority of clinical activity will be at the Queens Medical Centre Campus, in a new custom build department and City Hospital campuses, although work in the community may be required.
