Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic radiographer to join our busy but friendly radiotherapy team.  

This post will cover all aspects of the Radiotherapy treatment floor with opportunities to rotate through pre-treatment. You will be a HCPC registered therapeutic radiographer.  We are not able to offer this post to students due to qualify in 2025 but will look to offer further posts suitable for qualifying students in the near future.    We are looking for radiographers who have  excellent communication skills and are passionate about delivering high quality patient focused care.

In order to cover the service needs, the post-holder will need to be able to work flexible shifts over the working week with normal hours between 07.30 and 20.00. 

Main duties of the job

To rotate through all the clinical areas of the department under the direction of the area Team leaders and the Principal radiographers.

To work as part of a team of staff to provide safe and accurate radiotherapy planning and treatment to our patients whilst maintaining confidentiality and dignity and delivering patient centred care.

To comply with ISO 9001:2015 quality system for the department.

To participate in audit, and the clinical research and development of techniques and equipment.

To participate in the training and clinical education programme of student radiographers

The Radiotherapy Department provides complex treatments including: paediatric radiotherapy, image guided IMRT, SABR, SRS and total body electron and photon treatments for patients across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands region.  The department has a major commitment to evidence based practice and participates in multi-centre clinical research trials.

  • BSc radiotherapy degree or equivalent with HCPC registration
  • Recent use of modern pre-treatment and treatment machines

Experience
