Job overview

Applications are invited for a full-time Foot & Ankle Fellow, commencing in August 2026 for a 12 month period. The successful candidate will join the Foot & Ankle team within the Elective Orthopaedic specialty at Nottingham University Hospital's. Applicants will also be considered for future start dates. 

This post would be suited to Specialist Registrars/Residents who are nearing completion of their training and wish to undertake a Fellowship experience in Adult Foot and Ankle Surgery. FRCS (Tr&Orth) or equivalent is essential.

 

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will join the Foot and Ankle team of 5 consultant trainers and their colleagues; specialising in foot and ankle surgery.   The job will include; supervised training in specialist clinics and operating, once signed off independent operating, and research opportunities.

  • MRCS (or equivalent)

  • Previous registrar level experience in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery
  • CCT in Trauma & Orthopaedics

  • Demonstrates ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • National/ international presentations
