Breast Services are recruiting a Business Admin Apprentice CAS/Breast Services to work within the Breast Secretariat team . The post will be based at the City Hospital Campus.
The role will encompass a wide range of tasks and variety, giving the post holder the opportunity to develop and learn new skills, whilst providing a valuable service to our patients.

Essential criteria
- proven general office experience
- Customer service skills
- Experience of team working
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of clinic reception work/back office work
- Knowledge of hospital IT systems; Medway PAS
- Audio typing and digital dictation experience
Training and qualifications
Essential criteria
- To be educated to ‘O’ level, GSCE or equivalent standard, including Maths and English at C or above.
- Experience of using Microsoft packages
- Ability to work towards the Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship
Communication and relationship skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate and provide information with patients and staff for appointments and general queries.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
- Ability to develop good working relationships.
- Time Management skills
- Ability to deal with tight deadlines in a balanced and good humoured manner
- Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills.
- Accurate attention to detail
Planning and organisational skills

- Planning and organisation of routine tasks.

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
