The East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EMAS) provides Emergency, Urgent and Non-Emergency pre-hospital care and transport across six counties (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and Northamptonshire).

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your experience in the two key areas of work including Health and Wellbeing, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
The ability to undertake research and support the development, promotion and implementation of Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies and procedures will be key to the role.
The post holder must possess excellent organisational skills, be able to communicate and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders and has a genuine commitment to promoting Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within EMAS.
Main duties of the job
The post will be at the forefront of providing a comprehensive and professional service to the managers and employees of the Trust with a particular focus on bringing together Health and Wellbeing, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Staff Engagement activities; therefore, an ability to build good working relationships is pivotal.
Through excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills you will be responsible for and advise on a variety of topics including Equality Analysis, Workforce Equality Standards, Equality Delivery System 2022, and the Public-Sector Equality Duty in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Ideally you should therefore have previous experience in these subjects to seek to deliver a proactive and professional Equality. Diversity and Inclusion service that achieves the best outcomes for workforce diversity to ensure that the Trust is a leader in these areas and continues to demonstrate best practice.

external to the Trust to ensure that continuous development occurs, and best practice is incorporated within the Trust’s wellbeing and inclusion policies and working practices.

- Foundation Certificate in Personnel Practice or working towards
Experience/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Operational experience in Wellbeing and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion matters in a complex and large organistion
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation related to core employment issues
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
- Ability to take the lead on particular wellbeing and inclusion projects
Personal Attributes

- Ability to travel independently to various Trust sites across the East Midlands region
