Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the remote assessment of health and clinical needs, utilising professional clinical judgement, supported by decision support software. This requires specialist consultation skills as a clinician to ensure that the patient receives the most appropriate care from us.
As a Clinical Advisor you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key skills: ·
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Work with a variety of clinical specialists to ensure safe clinical processes for patients
- The ability to make quick safe clinical decisions under pressure
- Undertake referrals to internal and external clinicians

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the post will be undertaken in accordance with the policies, procedures and practices of the Trust, which may be amended from time to time. Patient Safety is a key priority for the Trust.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully compliant with EMAS policies and procedures in respect of patient safety, for example Risk Management, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Essential criteria
- 3 years post registration experience
- Willingness to complete NHS Pathways and/or PACCs training
Desirable criteria
- NHS pathways or PACCs trained
- Telephone consultation experience
- 2 years experience of working in an emergency care setting in the last 3 years
Registration
Essential criteria
- HCPC/NMC registration

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
