An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Finance Team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for a Finance Partner role. This will be a permanent role for a CCAB qualified accountant, with a great opportunity to work across the finance function, supporting Corporate Services.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be able to provide comprehensive financial advice, and support managers to understand the efficiency and effectiveness of resources within their control. They will need to be persuasive when dealing with conflicting priorities and ensure that financial opportunities and risks are quantified and understood at all levels of the Trust, and optimum value for money is achieved.
The Finance Partner will liaise closely with Divisional and Trust stakeholders in an outward-facing role to utilise their financial acumen to support in the development of annual plans, forecasts and identification of key risks and mitigations to delivery of the plan. You will be involved in influencing business decisions by providing support and challenge in the development of business cases for investment.
You should have excellent communication skills and the necessary personal qualities to engage effectively with Senior Managers and their teams. We are looking to bring in fresh views and new practices so, whilst previous NHS experience can be a strength, we are also keen to hear from those who have never considered working for the NHS before.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide comprehensive financial business advice and information in support of the Director, General Management and Budget Holders. To be an integral part of the Directorate Management teams. To provide financial advice to the senior finance team on a range of issues relevant to the Directorates and the Trust as a whole. To manage and develop finance staff on a day to day basis and deputise for the Deputy Head of Finance when required. To act as finance lead on a range of projects and business tenders.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

- Post qualification experience
- Knowledge of NHS finance & business planning regimes, appointing and managing staff
- Working with computerised financial systems
- CCAB finalist or qualified by experience.
