Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a Community and Mental Health Health Provider. We are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking Community AHP Clinical Lead to join the leadership team within Adult Community Health Services.

Our Adult Community Healthcare Services are at an exciting phase of development and are seeking an experienced candidate who will relish this challenge. The community teams have evolved to align with the two local government Unitary Councils of West and North Northamptonshire.

We are looking for an innovative Community AHP Clinical Lead who will provide leadership and direction to the therapy teams who work in Community In-patients and the Intermediate Care Team - West. 

This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave and provides an excellent opportunity for the post holder to extend their range of skills and experience.

Main duties of the job

The Community AHP Clinical Lead will be responsible for the delivery of therapy services within the Intermediate Care Team and Community Inpatient services within West Northamptonshire, supporting the teams through change and empowering the therapy leaders to deliver in their areas of work.

The post holder will work closely the Community AHP Clinical Lead for North Northamptonshire and with the ACHS and Adult Community Services senior management team to ensure a seamless service for patients.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy or equivalent pre-registration qualification
  • HCPC registration - relevant to professional qualification
  • Evidence of on-going CPD
  • Management or Leadership qualification or relevant experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams in a clinical setting
  • Extensive post registration experience of senior leadership in relation to inpatient bedded areas/community services/intermediate care

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrate ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment, prioritising and working to deadlines
  • Extensive use of clinical computer systems
Desirable criteria
  • Working knowledge of SystmOne
  • Evidence of having influence and implemented clinical change
