The Northamptonshire Vascular Service is looking for a skilled, organised, meticulous to attention for detail to full fill the role of the MDT Co-Ordinator. The opportunity is to join the Vascular Team and work alongside the Vascular Consultants and Vascular Nurses, this could be ideal for a career progression. The role is pivotal to the smooth running of the differing MDT meetings and other duties needed to enhance the Vascular service.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for the preparation of agenda for each MDT
Distribution of agenda in timely manner for each MDT
Responsible for typing minutes in each MDT
Distribute outcomes across the county
Work primarily independently using own initiative with minimal supervision to carry out duties of the post
Action any applicable outcomes
Track patient test results and clinical information and images relevant for MDT in preparation for the differing MDT's
Other responsibilities of the role: Administration duties, telephone calls with patients and staff, surveillance programmes for the Northamptonshire Vascular Service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the role is to facilitate the Complex Aortic, Carotid, High Risk, Renal and Vascular MDT meetings and ensure they run effectively and seamlessly. You will be expected to work independently, liaise with other Trust staff members and have good communication skills. Good IT skills in different systems are essential.
You will be expected to collect data, patient results, appropriate clinical information, provide office and administrative support to both staff and patients. Liaise with Vascular Consultants, Vascular Nurses and secretaries to aid the running of the Northamptonshire Vascular Service needs.
Following each MDT, outcomes and OPA’s need to be effectively distributed and actioned.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for collection of clinical information in preparation of excel spreadsheet for each MDT
Responsible for tracking referrals to ensure patient appointments and treatments are booked to local and national waiting time targets
Responsible for the preparation of appropriate notes and agenda for each MDT
Distribution of agenda in timely manner for each MDT
Responsible for typing minutes during each MDT
Distribute minutes across the county
Work primarily independently using own initiative with minimal supervision to carry out duties of the post
Action any applicable outcomes
Track patient test results and clinical information and images relevant for MDT in preparation for MDT
Needs to have good communication skills and work collaboratively with MDT members to exact information required for this role using all aspects of IT, the different systems such as Ice, Ecris, Medi viewer, Teams, Camis, NHS net, telephone skills, going to the wards as needed, liaising with the Vascular and Interventional Radiology secretaries, Vascular Studies, medical records and Pre-operative assessment at the Trust sites
Negotiate appointments for patients with staff members and departments of both Trust sites so ensuring targets are met
Take responsibility for the prioritizing of the workload. Develop systems to improve effectiveness of the post
Implementation of the Operational Policy for relevant MDT’s.
Responsibility for the effectiveness of the video conferenced MDT meetings with setting up and operation of the equipment, working with IT to ensure this is a productive efficient meeting or Teams as needed
Attend AGM’s and business meetings of the MDT’s
Provide assistant with the NVR
Will be expected to provide administrative support to the Vascular team
Assist the smooth running of the Vascular Nurses office
Resolve telephone enquiries for both patients and staff
Organise patient folders, outcome sheets, clinic lists, respond to Vascular Nurse telephone enquiry for clinics as needed
