Job overview
The new Discharge Lounge at Northampton General Hospital will provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients to wait for their discharge medication and/or transport home. We are looking for dynamic staff who will assess and pull appropriate patients to the lounge in a timely manner, thus ensuring patient flow throughout the hospital. This will start with early bird discharges identified the previous day; and continue throughout the day with suitable patients transferred to the lounge upon confirmation of their discharge.

The post holder will support the Discharge Lounge Manager in the delivery of high-quality care and safe patient discharge. Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work both as part of a multidisciplinary team and on their own initiative; the successful candidate will need to be able to work flexibly as required by the service.
