HR Admin Lead

Band 4

Job overview

Are you an experienced administrator looking to start a career in HR? Perhaps you are already a seasoned HR assistant looking to further your career.

We have an excellent development opportunity for a HR admin lead to support our people team at NHFT. The HR admin team plays a crucial role by carrying out administrative duties to support the delivery of a customer focused HR service.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for enquiries for the team and will be expected to work on their own initiative.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead/supervise the HR admin team to ensure timely completion of priority tasks, and delegate work where appropriate. They will provide direct PA support to the Director of Workforce and provide an administrative service to the HR team, including deputy HR director and HR business partners.

We are looking for someone who is able to work on their own initiative, prioritise and organise their own workload and communicate effectively with staff of all levels within the organisation to resolve problems and queries, provide advice and guidance and know when to escalate to senior staff.

Working for our organisation

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

NHFT promotes a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff, which focuses on people who enable our Trust to be ‘outstanding’ by supporting opportunity, innovation, development and growth.
