The ophthalmology department has an exciting opportunity for a full time assistant clinic coordinator. This is an ideal post for a candidate who is hard-working, self motivated and enthusiastic to help endure the smooth running of the service.
The role of the assistant clinic coordinator is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the clinic coordinator. The post holder holder will be skilled in office administration and the use of Microsoft office.
The applicant should have excellent communication skills. The post holder will be professional and able to interact appropriately and effectively with all levels of staff, ensuring a high level of confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
To support the clinic coordinator in the day-to-day duties of the department. The postholder will provide support with validating patients on the outpatients waiting list, filling last minute slots, cancelling patients and clinics, monitor the Follow up email account. The post will also include clinic management and managing the weekly activity diary and cover for the clinic coordinator when on leave or away from the Trust. The postholder will be required to work independently using their own initiative and must apply a high degree of confidentially to their work.
To be responsible for monitoring of clinics, doing a weekly check to ensure clinics are fully utilised.
• Clinic prepping for last minute bookings.
• Cancelling patients on the day due to staff sickness
• To be responsible for booking ROP (retinopathy of prematurity) patients
• To monitor and action emails.
• Validating of patients by running reports
• To receive and action follow up request via post or email.
• Requesting adhoc clinics via Trust process
• Clinic management
• Supporting eye casualty
• Supporting the clinic coordinator

Qualifications

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent level of education including Literacy and numeracy
- IT Skills - Microsoft Excel/Office
