Job overview

We are looking for a Finance Officer for our Accounts Receivable team based at Tribune House, York.

As a  Finance Officer you will be responsible for the raising of invoices and the coding and posting of cash receipts for the Trust, to ensure that the Trust receives and correctly accounts for all its income. 

To provide assistance and advice to other staff and senior managers, financial and non-financial, throughout the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • Process invoices and receipts, and credit control, ensuring work is completed accurately and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, timetables, and Standing Financial Instructions.
  • Provide advice and assistance to customers and staff regarding queries on receipts or invoices raised.
  • Provide advice to Staff and Patients regarding charges for private, amenity and overseas patients.
  • The maintenance of the private patient database and other sundry income records.

  • GCSE Mathematics (Grade A-C) or equivalent experience
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience
