We are recruiting to the post of Assistant Medical Secretary to join our Community Specialist Nursing Cardiac Rehabilitation Service. The post is based at one of our Health Centres in York and offers the suitable candidate an exciting opportunity to join this busy team who provide care to patients within their own homes and in clinic settings. The successful candidate will be an important part of our Team who help and support patients following various cardiac events.
This post offers excellent opportunities for an enthusiastic and conscientious person to provide medical secretarial and administrative support to the service lead and the team of Cardiac rehabilitation specialist Nurses. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, who can work effectively whilst using their own initiative.
The post holder will provide administrative support to the service lead and the team of Cardiac rehabilitation specialist Nurses.
Please note - interviews will be held on Tuesday the 13th of August.

Excellent administration/secretarial skills and audio-typing experience are necessary, as well as a good communication skills. You will regularly be required to deal with queries from patients, consultants and GPs and use electronic work lists to actively monitor patient pathways. General administrative tasks such as minute taking, data inputting and use of excel spreadsheets are required.
The successful candidate will be required to work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy office and manage their time and workload efficiently and effectively. They will also be required to work unsupervised and communicate with other service users on a regular basis.

- Proficient audio typist with the ability to accurately transcribe complex audio tapes and type complicated medical information whilst subject to frequent interruption

- Ability to assimilate new practices and knowledge
