Do you want to help develop and provide services in a new Community Diagnostic Centre?

Would weekend working be beneficial for your lifestyle?

We have an opportunity to work at Selby Hospital during the week to support the new CDC service. The weekend work will be to support the Inpatient Echocardiography service at York Hospital.

The department has departmental BSE accreditation.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will be expected to perform TTE unassisted, for outpatients in the community that have been referred from primary care through specific pathways. They will also be required to perform TTE on inpatients during their time in secondary care. They will need to triage effectively and support the development of GP pathways.

At this level you will also be expected to participate in aspects of service management, including quality assurance, service planning, workforce planning, appraisal, and student  supervision.

We are a teaching hospital with students at all levels training in echocardiography within the department. These include STP, ETP and SpR's.
