Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Trust's Resourcing function as a Temporary Staffing and Recruitment Projects Advisor.

 

The postholder will be responsible for delivering high level support and advice relating to temporary staffing, visas and immigration and various recruitment projects. 

 

The postholder should have experience in Recruitment and Temporary Staffing  and have knowledge of recruitment legislation, NHS pre-employment check standards and UKVI guidance and policies.

Main duties of the job

The Temporary Staffing and Recruitment Projects Advisor will primarily take the lead in supporting the Trust with advice on temporary staffing and visas, as well as assisting departments with hard to fill vacancies. Projects will focus on areas where the Trust is experiencing significant workforce challenges identified through the workforce plan. 

The postholder will lead on the delivery of cohort recruitment including attraction, interviews, pre-employment checks, preparing for new arrivals and supporting the on-boarding and induction process.  They will support with the opportunity of applying for funding, reporting on progress and working with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to Degree level (or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience).
  • A-level or equivalent qualifications (RQF level 3)
Desirable criteria
  • Certificate in Personnel / Recruitment Practice

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of recruitment and temporary staffing
  • Experience of organising in-person and online events
  • Significant experience of working in an administrative role
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of supervising a team
  • Experience using NHS recruitment and staffing systems

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of recruitment legislation and guidance / NHS Pre-employment Check Standards / UKVI Guidance

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Intermediate IT skills with Microsoft Office Packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
