The aseptic facility at Harrogate has just undergone a major refurbishment which has created a state of the art, modern aseptic unit, which includes four brand new pharmaceutical isolators. The facility is set to open fully in the Autumn of 2024, so you would be joining the team at a very exciting time.

You will be responsible for the supply of high risk injectable medicines to the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre and to our Medical Day Unit, ensuring these are clinically appropriate. We have a very strong working relationship with all of our Nurses and Clinicians and our Pharmacy team is very well respected.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to achieving our Team Vision, 'Providing Quality Aseptic Services to Ensure Safe and Effective Patient Care' and to do this you will need to be a good team player and have a real desire to improve patient experience.

  • You will be involved in providing a specialist service to our haematology/oncology inpatients.

  • You will work closely with consultants in clinic reviewing patients on SACT and prescribing their next cycle of SACT as per their treatment plan
  • You will be involved with clinical trials and take a lead in the management of any new trials that the Trust becomes involved with.
  • As a conscientious, forward thinking individual with attention to detail, you will have input into the development of new treatment protocols and procedures..
  • The ability to work as part of a team and good communication and numerical skills, are an essential part of this role.
  • The Trust actively supports learning and development and attendance on appropriate training courses is encouraged.
