Job overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Endoscopist to provide fixed-term cover for a 12 month period to support the existing team in provision of service lists at Harrogate District Hospital

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be competent in the knowledge and skills necessary for the delivery of diagnostic Lower and/or Upper GI endoscopic procedures, namely colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and Gastroscopy with associated therapeutic practices (biopsy, polypectomy, hemorrhoid therapy and tattooing).

  • JAG accreditation in Lower GI procedures
Desirable criteria
  • Non-Medical Prescribing module
  • Train the Trainer course
  • JAG accreditation in Upper GI procedures

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of supervising trainees and leading dedicated Training Lists
  • Diagnostic Lower GI lists
  • Therapeutic Lower GI lists
Desirable criteria
  • Mixed lists incl Upper GI
