The post holder will be responsible for the Trust’s Financial Services function, adopting a professional, modern, proactive and dynamic approach to ensure an efficient financial accounts service is provided. This includes delivery of financial accounting and controls, statutory reporting, technical accounting expertise, capital accounting, payment of suppliers, collection of income, cash management, charitable funds and staff development.
They will lead the production of Annual Accounts and co-ordinating external and internal audit work. They will also play a key role in modelling the behaviours outlined in the Trust values. The post holder is part of the Finance Senior Management Team and is expected to contribute to the wider finance.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the production of the Trust’s (Including Subsidiary) statutory financial accounts in line with NHS England’s submission timetable, and in accordance with the DHSC Group Accounting Manual.
Oversee the production of the Charity accounts.
Ensure robust financial processes are in place to ensure the integrity of the general ledger/other financial systems and the data contained within these systems.
Management of the Treasury Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Capital Accounts Function.
Promote a positive finance staff development culture and ensure compliance with national and Trust strategies.
