The Quality and Safety Senior Practitioner for external placements is a brand-new role and is a great opportunity for you to work for NSFT and build working relationships with external providers of inpatient care nationally. 

 

Main duties of the job

You will be part of the Quality and Safety Review Team, managing, conducting, and reporting on a schedule of quality and safety reviews with external placements, providing assurance that the care of our service users is meeting the Fundamental Standards and Mental Health Act.  You will be able to assimilate, analyse and clearly report information that will play a key role in supporting teams on all levels of the organisation, to make informed decisions alongside service users and their families about external placement options.

You will need the ability to travel extensively and spend short periods of time away from home.  Ideally you will have a good knowledge and experience of quality monitoring and inspecting mental health inpatient services.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered mental health practitioner Educated to Masters Degree or equivalent.
  • Administrative qualifications such as EXCEL, data analysis and report writing

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to develop and promote effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues across health and social care setting
  • Report writing including data analysis and interpretation

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Governance systems, processes and approaches
