At any one time, around 23,000 people in Norfolk and Suffolk are receiving care and attention from the Trust. Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced nurse who can work independently and as part of a team; is forward thinking; innovative and highly motivated, and keen to work with this client group. We value the contribution of others and recognise the benefit of a variety of clinical experience.
You will be well supported and supervised by Senior Nurse Specialists and a Consultant Psychiatrist. You will learn and develop through supervised practice, regular multi-disciplinary team meetings, and you will be able to attend training and development days.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills in order to engage with people with suspected cognitive difficulties, their family members and carers.
We anticipate that the post holder will have had previous experience in the administration and scoring the ACE III dementia screen and be able to write appropriately worded reports and letters to service users/carers and referrers. The post will require the successful applicant to have at least 2 years experience in working at band 6 with older adults who have complex mental health issues in the community. The role will involve completing risk assessments and recovery planning according to service user needs and presentation.
