An opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Applications, Implementation Support & Training (CAIST) Team within the Digital, Data and Technology Directorate to recruit a full time, permanent Clinical Applications Officer.  This would be an excellent opportunity to gain experience and skills to further your career. The team are responsible for developing and implementing new clinical systems and supporting major system such as WelshPAS (WPAS), Clinical Workstation (CWS) CareFlow, and Welsh Community Care information System (WCCIS) .

The successful candidate should have a good understanding of using computers and Microsoft O365.  Experience of using NHS clinical systems would be advantageous.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • A level standard or equivalent qualification / experience
  • ITIL or equivalent ICT qualification or skills
  • Training Qualification or willingness to undertake
Desirable criteria
  • Supervisory Qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive knowledge of Health Boards core systems such as CWS / WPAS / WCCIS / CareFlow / WCP
  • Previous training experience
  • NHS administration experience
Desirable criteria

  • Previous Help Desk or Customer Service experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent level of knowledge of clinical workflows and NHS processes
  • Specialist knowledge of some of the Health Boards core systems
