Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Paediatric Middle Grade post developed in line with the Health Board’s Clinical Futures Strategy. You will be based at our flag ship Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran where Paediatric facilities include an integrated Children’s Emergency Assessment comprising 16 assessment spaces, adjacent 2 bedded Stabilisation & High Dependency Unit, short stay beds, and 48 bed inpatient ward. The Multidisciplinary Education Centre is equipped with the latest AV technology and there is a purpose built simulation suite and clinical skills lab.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have a full 1:10 out of hours commitment but 40% of paid in-hours’ time will be dedicated to improving your portfolio.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This position involves Regulated Activity with children as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer:
Enhanced check with barred list information, including a children’s barred list check
Applicants must hold or be eligible to hold full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC.
Course Funding: Please note that unless agreed by the Division in advance, course funding is not available for Clinical Fellow or fixed term cover for training grades.
