Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

An opportunity has arisen for  a Workforce Business Partner to join our dynamic and motivated Workforce and OD team. We are excited to be able to offer this as a development opportunity for existing and experienced HR staff  in line with Annex 21 of the NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions. The successful candidate will be supported by a 2 year programme to obtain the full range of knowledge, skills and experience required of a Workforce Business Partner. Payment will be in line with Annex 21 i.e. 70% Band 8a in the first year, 75% Band 8a in the second year, subject to criteria within the development plan being met.

The Workforce Business Partner is a core member of the Workforce team supporting the delivery of an ambitious Health Board People Plan, as well as an integral part of the Divisions and management teams that it supports.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will attend Divisional meetings supporting their workforce agenda. The post holder will  develop local plans to ensure that clinical and managerial leaders throughout the Division possess the skills, confidence and expertise to lead and manage their teams effectively.

The post holder will  facilitate and contribute to the local integrated workforce plans and implementation plans for the Health Board’s Service Strategies. These will include service, financial and workforce plans for the Divisions, based on NHS, Welsh Government and Health Board workforce change initiatives.

The post holder will ensure compliance with national and health board policies in relation to employment and equality law, policy and good practice.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
